”I love to practice the knots to see how quickly I can get them completed and my 8-year-old likes to take Knot So Fast in the car. It is a great game for the individual that is on-the-go or as a quiet time activity.”Read the Review
I love how my son has to use his hand eye coordination to do it. It can be challenging and I’ve had to help him. But it is a good skill to have, especially in Boy Scouts!
This is a puzzle project not a knot tying book. There is a picture of the knot and the student has to figure out how to tie it from only the picture. There are no directions. As a thinking game it's great; the students have a different medium to figure something out, but if your looking for a knot tying book, I would suggest something from an outdoor store (that's a minus one star). Also, as another commentator stated, the included rope is poor quality and frays quickly, but that was easily fixed with a quick stop to the local hardware for some colorful climbing rope (that's why I subtracted a second star).
It's a decent idea, but the rope is coming apart already after just a few uses... We use a different rope for it now, which works ok. Booklet has clear instructions, and I am finding knots in every string the kids can find now... At least they are able to save me if I fall down a cliff, right? Positive thinking lol...
Game is awesome! Fun to play, great quiet time, solitaire work. Unfortunately, rope is coming apart- outside threads squish together and inside fibers poke out. Not really an issue, we replaced with our own cord.
I got this for my son who loves to tie knots in everything he can get his hands on. It is a little challenging for little ones but a great way to learn more knot skills. Perfect for anyone looking to improve their knot skills.
