Curated from word lists for kids aged four to eight, My Epic Life Word Book presents a highly entertaining method for introducing kindergartners to over 1000 relevant words. The quirky story-like illustrations on every page reinforce the words' meanings, and the simple definitions are tailored to a child's unique point of view. My Epic Life Word Book is an excellent resource for building your child's vocabulary, with high-frequency words, the all-important social-emotional words, uncommon (epic) words, and more. My Epic Life Word Book covers many child-friendly topics, like the days of the week, math, hygiene, friendship, and more. And for an extra burst of fun, your child will want to find Bogart, a mischievous larva who strongly resembles a bookworm, hidden in multiple volumes through this book. Created with the help of teachers, literacy experts, and award-winning Hollywood artists, My Epic Life Word Book is a large, comprehensive 235-page volume. A 2019 National Parenting Product Award Winner and a 2019 Tillywig Award winner.
Nearly all of the words and images are excellent for young readers. However, some families may find occasional illustrations troubling, such as a Frankensteinian scene, zodiac calendar, yoga pose, or cat biting an electrical cable. Thus, parents may want to preview the book before reading it with their child, in particular, pages 58-59, 67, 109, 112-113, 156-157, and 181.

When your kid begins using words you had no idea he knew, you can credit his book.
My son is fascinated by this book, but I must admit, I was put off by the illustrations. Something about the style was too, "90's Nickelodeon cartoon." I don't know. The words were fine, but I just didn't enjoy reading this one to him.
My son has loved this book from the very beginning. He loves learning new words and will often try to incorporate them into his vocabulary for the day. His favorite part is definitely the videos associated with some of the words. It really helps put the meaning of the words into perspective for him. The quality of the book is very nice as well.
My son gave this book as a gift. He was sad when he thought the book was his. He loves reading it and is accurately using words from the book
The pictures were colorful, expressive and lively. They are great if you's like to do a word a day or maybe just a good read. We really like this book.
