My Epic Life Word Book
Curated from word lists for kids aged four to eight, My Epic Life Word Book presents a highly entertaining method for introducing kindergartners to over 1000 relevant words. The quirky story-like illustrations on every page reinforce the words' meanings, and the simple definitions are tailored to a child's unique point of view. My Epic Life Word Book is an excellent resource for building your child's vocabulary, with high-frequency words, the all-important social-emotional words, uncommon (epic) words, and more. My Epic Life Word Book covers many child-friendly topics, like the days of the week, math, hygiene, friendship, and more. And for an extra burst of fun, your child will want to find Bogart, a mischievous larva who strongly resembles a bookworm, hidden in multiple volumes through this book. Created with the help of teachers, literacy experts, and award-winning Hollywood artists, My Epic Life Word Book is a large, comprehensive 235-page volume. A 2019 National Parenting Product Award Winner and a 2019 Tillywig Award winner.
Nearly all of the words and images are excellent for young readers. However, some families may find occasional illustrations troubling, such as a Frankensteinian scene, zodiac calendar, yoga pose, or cat biting an electrical cable. Thus, parents may want to preview the book before reading it with their child, in particular, pages 58-59, 67, 109, 112-113, 156-157, and 181.

The artwork combined with words in this book is absolutely great! My son and I love reading through this book together and I am enjoying it just as much as he is. My son loves all the different characters in this books as well.
My 4 yo used the word nonconformist in context.... I’d say it is effective.
We are loving learning new Epic words each day. Living that Epic life :)
A great way to introduce a broad vocab to kiddos. We concentrate on one word all day, using it as much as we can :)
My 3 and 5 year old boys love this book! I often find them looking through it on their own and not during school time. Definitely a keeper!
